Similar to our earlier suggestion of repairing Office (see #3 Repair Your Microsoft Office above), perform the same steps except choose to Uninstall. Be aware that you may need your product key if you received one. Microsoft has its own tool for automatically scanning and correcting Office when things go awry. You can read about it and then run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to see if that helps. It can automatically diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and fix problems with Outlook. Note that the above Fix Outlook Stuck On Loading Profile link is for desktop Outlook for Windows.

The Inbox Repair tool creates a backup file with the same name as the original, but with a .bak extension, and saves it in the same folder. There may be items in the backup file that you might be able to recover that the Inbox Repair tool couldn’t. You can create a new Outlook Data File and drag the items in the Lost and Found folder into the new data file.

You can create a new profile and then add your email accounts to the new profile. If repairing your Microsoft 365 programs didn’t resolve your issue, move on to the next step. For example, the first time you try to Dismiss All on a list of reminders, Outlook asks you if you’re sure you want to do that. Corrupted profiles frequently prevent Outlook from progressing past the loading screen. Creating a new profile establishes a clean environment for Outlook to start. I have found that when this happens its due to the Account in windows needing to be updated. If you close outlook(make sure its not in the system tray) then click on start and type Domain, then find Access work or school. You should see the Microsoft account, click on it and disconnect it.
